Adobe Launches Free Online Version of Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop, the software that allows users to touch up and alter their digital photographs, is now offering a version online. TechCrunch reports that Photoshop Express was launched this week, perhaps as an answer to some of the other successful online photo editing applications, such as Picnik and Foto Flexr.

The online version is nowhere near as extensive as the desktop software, which retails at $650, but will be useful for simple editing, such as removing red-eye or cropping images. The site will also serve as an online photo-storage service, similar to sites like Kodak's Photo Gallery and Snapfish.
