Technorati Media Launches

by Sarah Wurrey on June 17, 2008

Technorati launched a new blog ad network today, as has been anticipated for quite sometime. Called Technorati Media, the site allows blogs to monetize their place on the web by featuring ads from member companies.

According to the TechCrunch report, “early advertisers on the network include Honda, Acura, Toyota,
t-mobile, Adobe, HP, Sandisk, MSFT, Verizon, Sun, Sony, Visa, Nike,
Scion, Chevrolet, Paramount, Universal Pictures, 20th Century Fox and
Best Buy.”

Unlike similar ad networks, Technorati will be open “to all comers,” starting in two or three months. The advertising is currently only available to the largest, most widely-read blogs.
