Analysts Expect $20 Billion in Online Ad Growth

According to a report from TechCrunch about the latest Lehman Brothers Internet Data analysis for August, analysts are anticipating another $20 billion in growth for online advertising by the year 2012. In total, the report speculates that total online advertising spending will go from the currently $26.1 billion to $45.5 in the next four years.

The report further notes that “video ads are the hottest area of growth. Analyst Doug Anmuth thinks that online video ad spending will reach $1.1 billion this year (up 63 percent), and more than double to $2.4 billion over the next two years.”
