Twitter Launches Election Page

Twitter today launched a new page dedicated to tweets concerning this year's presidential election. The Twitter Election page filters messages from Twitter users discussing specific keywords, such as McCain, Palin, Obama or Biden, and sends the messages in a constantly scrolling feed. The site also features the Twitter accounts of the two major party nominees, John McCain and Barack Obama.

According to the new site, "We're filtering hundreds of Twitter updates per minute to create a new source for gathering public opinion about the presidential election and a new way for you to share your thoughts."
